During the first quarter of Penn State’s game with Rutgers on Saturday, Nittany Lions quarterback Sean Clifford left the game with an apparent injury. Backup quarterback Christian Veilleux entered the game, making his collegiate debut.

Clifford was 2-for-8 with 23 yards ing, and rushed two times for four yards during Penn State’s first four drives. After the final drive, he walked off the field gingerly and entered the injury tent. Minutes later, Clifford was seen walking down the tunnel into the Penn State Locker room.
The Scarlet Knights had ed two quarterback hits during those first four drives, including a big hit up high on a third-down incompletion during the second drive. All four of the Nittany Lions drives ended in Jordan Stouts punts.
Midway through the second quarter, the game remains scoreless.
