Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio refused to name a starting quarterback during his weekly pregame radio show Saturday afternoon, stating that a decision has been made, but it will be kept in house until kickoff for the Spartans’ 3:30 p.m. ET meeting with Northwestern.

Tyler O’Connor started all of Michigan State’s first five games, completing nearly 61 percent of his attempts for 976 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions, leading the Spartans to a 2-3 start. It was Damien Terry, however, that played toward the end of MSU’s 31-14 loss a week ago, re-sparking the quarterback controversy/competition that had captured story lines entering the season.
